Connect Grok
Set this up on grok.com in a web browser (a phone browser works too). xAI doesn’t publish steps for the Grok app yet.
Before you begin
What it can do
Read and change your trips, saved places and collections — your whole Finding Horizons account, not one trip. It can’t see your password or payment details.
Who processes it
What Grok reads goes to the company that runs Grok, under its terms, and uses your plan with them. On the Finding Horizons side, connecting is part of Horizons Plus and Nomad.
Disconnect any time
On the Connect page, or in the app: Profile → Connect your AI → Connected apps. Rotating a link stops the old one. Disconnecting stops future access; it doesn’t erase what Grok has already kept.
How it connectsNot seen yet
Grok is given the Finding Horizons address and signs you in: you sign in once and approve. Grok keeps that connection in its own secure store and renews it on its own — no key to paste again. We haven’t seen it finish with Grok yet; if signing in fails, the steps also give you a private link.
Copy this address
Finding Horizons server addresshttps://www.findinghorizons.ca/api/mcp
No key or private link: Grok signs you in and keeps the connection.
Open Grok connectors in a new tab and sign in to Grok
Click New Connector, then choose Custom
You’ll see: a box for the server address.
Paste the address and add it
Name it Finding Horizons if Grok asks for a name. If it asks how to sign in, choose OAuth and leave any client ID empty.
You’ll see: a Finding Horizons page. Sign in with the same account you use in the app, then click Approve.
Only if signing in fails: use your private link instead
Add the connector again with this link as the address. Tell us it failed — we haven’t seen Grok’s sign-in finish with us yet.
Use it in a chat
Grok finds the Finding Horizons tools on its own. Mention Finding Horizons in your message, for example “Using Finding Horizons, what’s on my next trip?”
Check it worked
Ask Grok: “What have I saved in Finding Horizons?” It should list your places.
Then open Connected to your account: Grok is listed there with last used and today’s date (if you used a private link, the link says it). If it still says “not used yet”, Grok hasn’t reached Finding Horizons — go back one step.
Grok’s menus change. Checked 5 November 2026; if yours looks different, see xAI’s help page.
